Dr Chimpanzoo Needs Lots of Glue

Doctor Chimpanzoo was one
busy ape.
He had so many
things to do,
So many
creatures calling all day
So many animals to
attend to.…
Pills for Father Hippo
To take care of his aching
tummy,
Strawberry Syrup for
Little Zebra,
And a lotion
for his mummy.
Page 2
Here's Mother Hen
Oh! She's in such a flap,
Her feather's got caught in
the oven door
This is no small mishap.…
Doctor Chimpanzoo gives her
an injection. That'll take care
of the pain, And here's some
ointment for the burn,
And never do it again!
Page 3
Talking of ruffled feathers,
Here comes a bird family,
Little one fell off while
learning to fly
Doc will need to bind up his
little hurt knee
Page 4
Now who's that crawling
slowly up
He seems to be showing no
signs of any pain,
Does he have some hurt or
a muscle pull
Or has he just got pecked
by Mr. Crane?
Page 5
No, no, that's old Mr. Croc
Who brings medicines and
wonder cures new,
He waddles over every
month or so
And walks in without
much ado
Page 6
What has he got today?
Doc Chimpanzoo comes over,
all eager and keen,
He knows all his medicines
and cures
But sometimes Croc has
something even he's
never seen.
"So what have you, my
waddly friend?
Have you got something
new and wonderful?
Something that will help
me cure, all these creatures
that are such a handful."
Page 7
"I have got new pills and
powders, too
Some special plasters and
some lotions Some tablets,
some capsules, a new type
of syringe. But there's
something else, even
better than magic potions..."
Page 8
"What is it; tell me, I am
itching to know
Is it a medical marvel,
a wonder cure?"
"Oh I shall tell you what it is
And you are bound to
jump in joy, for sure."
Page 9
"It's a new type of glue
It can stick anything you
come across
Bones, teeth, horns, nails
It's magical stuff,
sheer wizardry, boss!"
Page 10
"Glue that can stick anything!!
That's like music to my ears,
Earlier I could only stitch
and plaster and sometime
even use the shears.…
Give me two tubs of this glue
Let me use it and see
if it's that good,
I am sure it will be
very helpful, but I need to
check it and I should."
Page 11
So Croc handed over two
tubs of the wonder glue
And waddled away as
slowly as he had come,
Doctor Chimpanzoo put
away his gooey treasure
Oh! He needed this as sure
as you could say Adam.
Page 12
Many a day passed and
many a patient came
But not one was a case
for the glue,
There were fevers and pains,
some aches and pulls
A broken wing, and even
a new baby or two.…
But no broken teeth,
or a chipped horn. Oh this is
really disappointing,…
"I bought this glue
and haven't used it."
Doc Chimpanzoo spent
day after day, murmuring.
Page 13
And then came Rocko
running fast
Holding his face with
both his paws,
Oh what was wrong with
this little one
Had he put his face in
somebody's claws?
Page 14
When Doc Chimpanzoo saw
what was wrong
He almost whooped with joy,
Here was a broken horn,
a case for the wonder glue
Oh boy, oh boy oh boy
Page 15
He made Rocko sit down
and wait and he hopped
off to get the glue,
This is what he had
been waiting for
Now he could check if it
really did what Croc
said it would do!
Page 16
He put some on the
broken piece and smeared
some on the little stub,
"It happened when I
tried butting a tree
Oh at home, there will
be such a hubbub..."
"Don't worry, my little friend,
It will be quite all right,
I assure you, There I have
stuck it and taped it
You must be careful for
a day or two."
Page 17
And it was indeed all right
in two days
When Doc Chimpanzoo
removed the tape,
A little horn, good as new
No change to its size
or its shape..
Page 18
The glue was indeed
like magic. Much to the
doc's delight. And soon he
had to use it again
You have got to hear
of Blippo Hippo's plight…
He was swimming, looking
for some food. When he
met a rock under the water,
And his tooth broke off
and fell to the bottom
And was fished out by
the otter...
Page 19
He took his broken tooth
and ran. Bawling to
Doctor Chimpanzoo...
Who was delighted to
use again, his magical
wonder glue.
"There it's stuck now
and a soft diet please
For a day or two,
And I am sure you will
be all right, all thanks
to the wonder glue."
Page 20
And indeed Blippo was fine
And his tooth whole again,
He jumped for joy and bit
a rock candy just to show
his friends in the glen.
Page 21
And Doc Chimpanzoo used
it many more times
Till he had used up one
tub and the next,
Now he waited anxiously
for Croc to come by
So he could get some more,
oh was he vexed!
Page 22
But Croc did come by
sooner than later
And delivered more of
the wonder-glue,
And Doc Chimpanzoo
used lots of the stuff
And fixed many animals and
some feathered friends, too!
