Every day, Bailey Beaver eats ice cream for breakfast,
candy for lunch and cake for dinner. He does not like
to brush his teeth. He brushes only once a week. Bailey's
brother Barry Beaver likes to eat berries, bananas and
broccoli too! He likes to brush his teeth.
He brushes twice a day.

One day, the Beaver brothers set out to build their houses.
"I'm going to build the biggest house in all of the forest!" Bailey boasts.
"Me too!" says Barry.
Page 3
Bailey sees a giant tree.
"This one is perfect for my house,"
he says. He takes a big bite.
CRUNCH!
"Ouch!" He screams and grabs his face.

He tries another tree. "Ouch!" he cries again.
Every tree Bailey bites hurts his teeth. So, he decides to use sticks
and twigs to build his house. Barry chops down the biggest tree in
the forest. CHOMP! He makes a giant pile of logs.
Now, he has enough wood to make a big house.

Just then, a dark cloud rolls in.
"It looks like a storm is coming," Barry yells to his brother.
"We have to hurry!" Bailey rushes to finish his house with the
sticks and twigs he gathered.
"All done!" he shouts, after just a few minutes.

Barry puts one last branch on his house.
"I'm done too!" he says proudly.
Page 7
"Wow, what a big house you have!" says Bailey. "Mine looks like a pile of sticks," he says.

Suddenly, it starts to rain. "Oh, no!" Bailey shouts. He runs to his house and tries to wiggle in. But it is too small to hold him.

"Come to my house," says Barry. "There is plenty of room there." Bailey runs to his brother's house.

Bailey sighs. "If you ate better food and brushed your teeth,
your house would be as big as mine," Barry says.
"From now on, I will brush my teeth twice a day, just like you,"
Bailey promises.
"Great idea!" says Barry. "But use your own toothbrush!"
