At his door, Puff Puff found a tearful Dinork. He cried sometimes just because it felt good so Puff asked "Anything wrong?"
"My new costume illuminator was in my backpack...my backpack was on the bench...the bench was..." sobbed Dinork.
Page 2
"It, no actually they, are gone, and tomorrow is Crankyween!" cried Dinork. "I think Oobie Doobie took them! You know how he loves shiny things? Well, I adorned my backpack with shiny stars, in several celestial constellations!"
Page 3
Puff Puff didn't understand what Dinork was talking about, but he did know that Oobie Doobie, a mischievous pet rock, liked hiding shiny objects and then watching everyone try to find them.
Page 4
"This is an emergency!" said Puff,
"We must call the THREE PUFFKETEERS!"
"Well, that's you, me and Penga,
and since you and I are already here,
what you really mean is we need to
call Penga, correct?" asked Dinork.
Puff Puff laughed, "I just like
saying THREE PUFFKETEERS."
Page 5
Suddenly, Penga walked up.
"Did you just call for the Three Puffketeers?
Because, that was what I thought I heard,
while I was singing a very pretty song.
Want me to sing it for you?" Penga asked.
Page 6
"Um, can we save the song for later? We might need it to get Oobie Doobie to cooperate," said Puff.
"Oh, Oobie! I love him! He is so cute!" said Penga.
"He's not so cute when he's taken your key to holiday happiness!" cried Dinork.
Page 7
Penga was confused and Puff explained,
"Dinork thinks Oobie took his backpack
and new costume gadget, and the Pet Town
Costume Contest is tomorrow."
"Well," said Penga, "since cute little Oobie Doobie
loves to play in the Petrified Forest,
I think we should start, there!”
Page 8
Dinork mumbled, "He really isn't very cute.."
Just then, Oobie Doobie ran by, giggling.
"There he is!" as they ran after him.
"He's remarkably fast for such a small
legged creature," noticed Dinork.
Puff Puff, called out, "Penga, sing!
Maybe it will slow him down."
Page 9
Penga sang, "Little rock, little rock, your legs are really long. My legs are much, much shorter, so I'm singing you this song. Little rock, little rock, put mischief in the past. If you started dancing, you couldn't run fast."
Oobie Doobie slowed, skipping and laughing, but then realized he had been tricked! He took off, leaving a trail of dust.

Just then, Monket came by skidding to a stop. "Hi!" said Monket. "Where are you going?" Before anyone could reply, Puff Puff spoke, "We're just out for a walk. Nice weather, isn't it?"
"It's always nice," said Dinork. Puff, a little exasperated, continued, "Yes, well...it's still nice. Anyway, gotta go!" And with that, he rushed his friends off towards the forest.
Page 11
Penga asked, "Why didn't you tell Monket what we were doing?"
"Because," said Puff Puff, "this is a job for the THREE PUFFKETEERS!"
Page 12
As they entered the forest, Dinork said,
"I still don't see why we didn't ask our friend to help us."
Page 13
Puff Puff, responded, "THREE Puffketeers. Three!," he said.
"Four is a nice number," chimed in Penga.
Suddenly, Puff signaled for quiet. In the distance, they saw Oobie Doobie near a tree.
Page 14
They made their way toward
the tree and looked up.
Dinork started to tear up again.
"My backpack!" he cried. "It's…it's…it's tree bound!"
"Wow," said Penga, "that's like
a different country, up there."
Through his sniffles, Dinork corrected,
"No, it is the same country."
"She was just saying it's really,
really tall," said Puff Puff.
Page 15
They tried many ways to get up into the tree.
Puff Puff tried to run up and Penga tried to fly...
Page 16
Dinork even devised a
seesaw to shoot him into the air
but it was a little too dangerous!
Page 17
"You know who's a good climber
...and a very good dancer?" Penga asked.
"Who?" asked a sad Puff Puff as he watched
his friend Dinork stare at the backpack in the tree.
"Monket," said Penga. "He can climb, anything."
"Oh, man!" moaned Puff.
Page 18
The Three Puffketeers then hiked to Monket's tree house. Monket leaned out from the door. "Hi!" he said, "Did you have a nice walk?"
Page 19
"Monket," began Puff, "ummm...we were...well, we're the Three Puffketeers and, we do things together, and..."
Dinork butted in, "My back pack with the iluminator is tree bound!"
Penga cut him off, "We need your help, Monket" she stated.
"Of course I'll help," answered Monket, "we're friends."
Page 20
Back under the tree, "Is it too high for
you to climb?" asked the worried Dinork.
"Not if I breathe, concentrate, and smile…"
responded Monket, "…and run like crazy!"
Page 21
Monket zoomed up and came to
a stop above the backpack.
"I'm good at going up. I don't
like going down," he yelled.
Page 22
Penga tried to take Monket's mind off the great height, "Concentrate on my pretty pink bracelet!" It did not help.
Dinork said, "Just reverse your every step, except don't forget to go a bit out of your way to grab my backpack."
This, also, did not help Monket relax.
Page 23
"Monket, we'll make sure you don't get hurt,"
Puff said reassuringly. "We're not the
Three Puffketeers, anymore. Now, with
you, we are the Four Puffketeers,"
he continued. "No, that's not right.
We're not even the Four Puffketeers.
Everyone is welcome, so, from now on
we are THE ALLSKETEERS! All for one,
and one for all!" he cried.
Monket began climbing down,
stopping to grab the backpack.
Page 24
"It's true, Monket," Dinork explained, "We are going to cross arms and create a net. Jump right into the center of our arm-net."
"You'll catch me?" Monket asked?
Penga spoke strongly, "Of course, Monket. Remember we are - drumroll, please - THE ALLSKETEERS."
Page 25
They crossed arms. Monket closed his eyes, jumped and landed safely in his friends' arms.
Page 26
As Monket hopped onto the ground, Dinork felt something. He looked down. It was Oobie Doobie. He was a mischievous rock but a nice one, and he wanted to let Dinork know he was sorry.
"That'll do, little rock," Dinork said, "that'll do.
