This is Patricia. During the day, she's a regular little girl. She loves reading books with her parents, but not too many in a row. She likes to practice drinking from a big-girl cup, but not too much at a time.
Page 2
She likes to climb on anything: the couch, the picnic table, or her dad. She likes to splash around in the tub with lots of bubble bath and toys.
Page 3
But at night, something happens. When Patricia changes into her pajamas, she feels like a new person. Patricia isn't just Patricia anymore.
She becomes... Pajama Girl!
Page 4
Pajama Girl has special powers. She can continuously drink cups of water. She can wrestle her arch-enemy, the Toothbrush Kid. She can listen to one hundred bedtime stories without her eyes drooping at all. She can leap over her big-girl bed in a single bound.
Page 5
Pajama Girl is nearly unstoppable, until two new superheroes enter the scene...Sweet Dreams Momma and Sleep Tight Pappa!
Page 6
"You can't stop me!" cries Pajama Girl as she begins feverishly filling cups with water to drink.
Sweet Dreams Momma doesn't bat an eye. She just steers Pajama Girl into the bathroom.
Page 7
In the bathroom, Pajama Girl meets with her nemesis, the Toothbrush Kid.
"What's that, Toothbrush Kid?" taunts Pajama Girl. "Think you're going to clean up this mouth? You better think again!"
Page 8
Are Sweet Dreams Momma and Sleep Tight Papa alarmed by Pajama Girl's bold talk? Not a bit! Sweet Dreams Momma tickles Pajama Girl's tummy while Sleep Tight Pappa tickles her teeth.
Page 9
Pajama Girl wiggles loose and runs into her bedroom. "I'm not getting into bed!" she cries as she leaps right over it with the ease of a gazelle. Sweet Dreams Momma smiles at Sleep Tight Pappa and they surprise Pajama Girl by jumping up and down on top of the bed.
Page 10
When Pajama Girl grows tired of all of the bouncing, she crawls under the covers armed with her last superpower, endless bedtime stories. "You haven't beaten me yet!" she challenges. "I can listen to stories all night."
"We'll see about that," says Sleep Tight Pappa, pulling out the ultimate book of bedtime reading: The Dictionary.
Page 11
Pajama Girl makes a valiant effort, but her eyes grow heavy. Her head droops closer to the pillow. Before Sleep Tight Pappa can make it to "alfalfa," Pajama Girl is dozing all warm and snug in her bed.

As the sun comes up in the morning, Patricia yawns, but not too big. She stretches, but not too wide. She runs off to wake Mommy and Daddy to begin another regular day...at least until sunset.
