"Let's have a beauty contest!" said Pig.

Little Wren fluttered her beautiful yellow wings and flew as fast as the wind around Pig's head.

Rooster wobbled his bright red comb, on top of his handsome head, so it sparkled in the sun.

The animals began to argue about who was the most beautiful bird in the barnyard. Pig grunted. Horse whinnied. Cow said moo. Sheep said baa. The animals couldn't make a final decision.

"You silly barnyard animals," squawked Mama Hen. "All of the birds are beautiful and they have special talents too. Little Wren's beautiful yellow wings make her one of the fastest flyers; Handsome Rooster can shake his red comb so it sparkles in the sunlight; and Duck's fancy dancing shows off her gorgeous white feathers."

Pig, Horse, Sheep and Cow cheered and all said at the same time,
"Mama Hen you're right, all of the birds are beautiful and talented, including you and your chicks."

Kitty walked out of the barn when she heard the animals talking.
"Can I be beautiful too?" asked Kitty
Mama Hen laughed, "You're already beautiful, Kitty! And as you grow, you'll surprise us with your special talents, too!"
